They are easy to make and simple to eat, which is basically what you need on such occasions.
Ingredients
For the filling:
450gr pork
1 tsp minced garlic
1 tsp grated ginger
2 stalks scallions
3 tbsp roasted peanuts
1 tbsp cooking oil
For the sauce:
1 1/2 tbsp hoisin sauce
1 tsp soy sauce
1/2 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp rice wine vinegar
1 teaspoon Sriracha hot sauce
For the wraps:
12 lettuce leaves
Serves: 6
Directions
Roughly chop the peanuts and place in a small pan. Cook the peanuts until lightly browned. Set aside.
Mix the sauce ingredients in a small bowl and set aside.
For the filling: heat a pan, drizzle with cooking oil. Add garlic, ginger and scallions; stir a few seconds. Add the pork and stir until cooked through. Add the sauce, toss everything and let simmer until it has thickened.
For serving, scoop the filling into the lettuce leaves and sprinkle with peanuts and you are set! Go team!
